You have concluded astrology is not a useful tool.
You have concluded that nobody in the world uses astrology as a corrective tool.

Of course, you have the freedom to criticize the misusers of this subject but at the sametime, any premature conclusion without subject knowledge is also ignorance and dangerous.

The world will always have people with a different school of thought, it is important to understand the other school of thought to become a wise person.

All popular subjects come with a bunch of myths, and astrology is no exception. More than understanding what astrology is, it is equally important to know what astrology is not. Since many answers already covered what astrology is, let me talk about what astrology is not so that I think it will break some myths around you that would have caused you to raise this question in the first place.

Astrology doesn’t focus on remedies (But on understanding your karmic history)

Many still believe that astrology and remedies are inseparable. Astrology doesn’t focus on remedies but some astrologers do. As mentioned earlier, the planetary set up in the horoscope is due to our own past karma. So, if we are the ones who created past karma, then it is evident that we can alter it through conscious actions. Remedies are just a way to remove psychological impediments.

***Astrology is not a science

There are two sections in astrology, first mapping the planetary positions with respect to time of birth, which is called horoscope, and secondly predicting life events based on planetary placements. The former is mathematics, while the latter is an art. Art is different from science, similar to how an artist will have his own perspective in his creation every astrologer may have a different perspective for the same horoscope. Hence predictive astrology can never be a science, but one of the highest forms of art.

***Astrology is not a limiting tool

So it is not about achieving the goal, but all about finding a goal that is aligned with your core purpose. Any goal linked with passion will never fail, whatsoever. If you have a clear purpose, no one can stop you, including your past karma. When your passion is not indicated in your horoscope, it simply means that you need to create new karma with consciousness.

In astrology Mars is considered natural malefic and it denote hot constitution. 7th house represents marriage/spouse, 8th house represents longevity of spouse(2nd house from 7th house), 4th house represents general conveyance and comforts, and 12th house represents conjugal life. So when Mars occupies 4th house, 7th house, 8th house or 12th house then it is considered manglik.

Having said that the placement of Mars in all these houses are not considered same, a general thumb rule below

When Mars occupies 7th house or 8th house then it considered 70–100% Manglik based on the strength of Mars. For example when Mars gets exalted in 7th house then it is considered 70% Manglik against when its get debilitated considered 100% Manglik.
When Mars occupies 4th house or 12th house then it is considered 20–40% Manglik. Here again according to strength of the Mars the % will be decided.

Manglik is overrated in modern world. This should be considered as just one factor during marriage. There are so many factors that needs to be considered while matching two horoscope which I have explained in my blog post[1]. So when all other factors are very good then Manglik can be conditionally approved, but this should be analyzed by skilled astrologer carefully case by case.

Sun in the First House - Strong moral nature, righteous-minded, ambition and love of power, tends to be well supported by good health and vitality. 12th house is called Vyaya sthana and it is linked with the expenditure and losses. It is also related with the foreign lands and private spaces like Bed room, Hospitals and sanctuaries. It is also linked with Meditation and Moksha.
Rahu is the planet that likes to achieve the admiration, recognition in a short term and wants himself at top of the social hierarchical order.
In the 12th house, it leads the person to use the weapon of 12th house i.e. foreign and distant lands, private spaces and excessive expenditure in order to show off the society.
If Rahu is in connection with malefic planet and sitting in the enemy sign then native may face difficulties by the unknown and distant enemies.
Native may like to show off by taking the loans and excessive use of credit cards though he may not be able to repay it.
As Rahu is in 12th house - Ketu will be in the 6th house. Here Ketu causes the detached feeling towards the debts, diseases and enemies. First of all, please understand that you should always focus on strengthening yourself, not the Moon(or in fact any planet). So it is appropriate to rephrase the questions like this “How can I strengthen myself in case of the weak moon in the horoscope?”

The Moon is the karaka for the mind. Every human has tremendous potential,infinite potential that is necessary, which is waiting for development and expression. The strong Moon taps the potential inside through positive thoughts and emotions, whereas weak Moon usually drains your energy by thinking about worst case scenarios.

People with weaker Moon and afflicted Moon will usually have a magnifying glass to picture the worst case scenarios, thus the negative thoughts would normally take over the situation. The weak Moon afflicted by Rahu would create depression and anxiety problems. The depression is usually created when a person constantly rewinds his bad past incidents in the mind's eye. It may sound logical to conclude 10th house for father but If you understand the grand plan of Karma, you will be able to understand why 9th house rules father in astrology. The astrology and Karma are inseparable, without Karma no one can justify the disparities in human life.

The Man’s present existence is a mere repetition of his previous existence, his present existence beautifully connects the past with the future. In his every birth, he carries one step forward and until finish the end goal. With this background is set, one must understand that our birth is linked with the past(the father) and also the future(our children). The mother is the mediator here.

When we talk about karma many think that karma only operates at an individual level which is not the complete story. The Karma operates at both individual and global level.
